Our Reason to Be
Every single white paper on the subject of ‘Skill Gap in India’ written over the past eight to ten years, points out to an impending and serious lost opportunity of major proportions, unless that gap is bridged. For example, a report by Accenture titled ‘Fuelling India’s Skill Revolution’ places that lost opportunity value in the region of US$1.97 Trillion over the coming decade.
COVID-19 is ensuring a new normal in the skill and education domains. With social and physical distancing norms in place, a classroom full of students, is not a solution. These norms in turn demand that soft skills in general and more specifically learning in creativity, empathy and sensitivity be imparted as part of the curriculum.
The reality of the matter at hand is that while about 15 million candidates enter the workforce every year, almost 75% are not job ready. This harsh imbalance is primarily due to lack of technical and soft skills.
There is a requirement of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and Blockchain, to be used rapidly, in place of traditional methods of instruction, for both reskilling and upskilling at scale.

At Y&Now, we conduct a detailed Gap Analysis. This is followed by appropriate Skilling and Training courseware with Job Ready skills that leads to placements through linkages with Industry & Employers.
We see the current landscape as one of huge opportunity to do the right thing. To develop a technology led, blended learning curriculum that allows for rapid deployment, with sandboxes for developing on-the-job skills and then applying them to real world situations, is our immediate goal.
As a country, India is expected to have 2.1 billion Internet connected devices and 694 million 4G connections by 2023. Digital provides the perfect platform for a blended learning curriculum.

Pankaj Dutta
Pankaj is a perceptive strategist who has worked for over 17 years with monumental names of the industry including Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Globe Telecom, TATAacross Europe,UAE, South East Asia, & US markets
He is an alumna of IIM-R. A keen observer of Economics, Politics,Sports and International Relations, he believes that formal education by itself cannot fulfil employability requirements and skilling is a necessity in the current economic environment.
A communicative, driven, and impactful professional with an expertise in Project Management and Business Development, Pankaj also takes his leisure seriously and often indulges in music, long drives, cooking and gardening to unwind.
Dr. Kaveri Dutta
Dr. Kaveri is a collaborative professional with 15+ years of experience in learning &development. A post-graduate from SNDT Mumbai in Textiles, she also holds a post graduate Diploma in Hospitality & Administration Management.An encouraging educator with an ability to make learninginteresting & engaging, expert in Indian Handlooms & Handicrafts, creating concepts, design & development (research, data gathering, documenting, teaching design process, product styling and surface embellishment), conducting design pool workshops, visualization to prototyping, industry interface etc.
She is also visiting faculty National Institute of Fashion Technology, Member of Paris Institute of Fashion Technology, Member Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and she is also on boards& universitiesfor designing course curriculum from the industry perspective.
She regularly writes for world leading journals on fashion, handicrafts &handlooms,and future sustainable designs.
Tarun Abbhani
Tarun is a qualified Chartered Accountant,he has also pursued post qualification courses DISA DIRM, FAFD & Ind AS certification of the Institute with 14+ years of experience he has held various finance leadership roles in organisations like Vodafone, Tata Teleservices and Airtel.
Tarun brings in expertiseto the develop& strengthen our financial and operational strategy, KPIs, and monitoring of the financial system.
Possessing the characteristic traits of a planner, analyst and problem-solver, Tarun enjoys the thrill of a new challenge and having to push his boundaries to achieve the same. He is vivid traveller and a patientlistener, he is a keen follower of cricket.
Souri Mukherjee
Souri strongly believes that, every person has the ability to thrive with the pressures of life and the corporate world and actually emerge as a well-rounded individual as long as they have the education, skills and the right attitude.
A commerce graduate, with honours in Accountancy from St. Xavier’s, Kolkata, he comes with 24 years of experience with Merkem Imaje, United Biscuits (now Pladis Global) brand McVitie’s and Wrigley’s India.
Possessing the characteristic traits of a planner, analyst and problem-solver, Souri enjoys
the thrill of a new challenge and having to push his boundaries to achieve the same.
Apart from being a traveller and a good listener, he also has a keen interest in playing and watching football.

Pradeep Narayanan
Having worked with UN agencies, bilateral organisations and international NGOs in India, Cambodia, Jordan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Serbia, Pradeep comes from a rich experience of over 26 years in the Development Sector.
With a postgraduate degree in Development Studies from University of Bristol, UK, he has worked on the implementation of complex regional and country-specific initiatives in health, education, child protection and gender. Being of the opinion that India faces a bottleneck in improving the employability of the youth, he fervently maintains that action and investment to ensure access to livelihood opportunities for adolescents and young adults is a pressing agenda.
During the course of his career, Pradeep has established Monitoring and Evaluation systems, helped design thematic plans and project proposals, and aided numerous agencies in raising funds from corporates and other donors.
